well the only ABSOLUTE Truths are the Truths found in the Word of God…every written word in the Bible is absolutely True…human experience, reasoning, and perspective are subject to the individual but the Bible remains Absolute
Comment by Steve Barber
The ONLY absolute truths are the truths found in the Word of God? Where in the Word of God does it say it contains the ONLY absolute truths?

“I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.” (PSALM 138:2)

God is whom/what God is!

Which Bible are we talking about; which version(s), what about typos, or word for word translations as compared to thought for thought translations(i.e. versions)?

Absolute truths in the Bible:
Hbr 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
2Cr 9:6 But this [I say], He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.
Gal 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
Etc.

Absolute/universal truths:
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
But this [I say], He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.
Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

Gen. 1.1: “In the beginning God”: Elohim — speaks of the eternal godhead…….God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Ghost. No statement in the Word of God attempts to establish the fact that God exists. He must be accepted by faith. His creation must be accepted by faith, His word must be acepted as his voice that speaks to our heart and his Holy Spirit enlightens us to his truths.
Gen.1.27) He created Adam who quickly came in contact with another of his creations, Satan, and Adam sinned against God through disobediance to the one law that God had given to him. Which put you and me in a bad spot, Lost and undone without God – in need of a redeemer. And there was nothing we cold do about it. But God could , God did, before the foundations of the earth were laid, forordained his precious Son, Jesus Christ, to pay the aweful sin debt that you and I owed to our creator. (1 Peter 1.18-20) This fact is highly publicized in history and the word.
The third thing that is infallible in our salvation: (Eph. 2.8-9) By grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God: Not of works: Lest any man should boast.”
And the real clincher is: (1 Cor. ch.15) Which tells of our dear Lord’s resurrection and then our own bodily resurrection. With this hope in our hearts what more could we hope for……?

I am not real old but I’m getting up there. I have been a lot of places and have experienced a lot what life has to offer. I am of a large family, the youngest of eight. My father died when I was two. My mother never remarried. She raised all of her children by the word of God. By example she proved to me that I can always depend on the word of God for all the answers to life. I believe the Holy Bible is the true word of God. I belive Jesus Christ is who he said he is.

I’ll try to be the non conformist
Heisenberg uncertainty principle
“you can’t know the speed and position of a sub-atomic particle at the same time only one or the other.” (proof humans have limited knowledge and finite minds)
Comment by Debbie
What? Sub-atomic particles? Does not matter about what human minds know. God knows the speed AND position at the same time and thus, keeps everything in order. That is why He is absolute truth. Not that He is truthful, but He is absolute truth. My finite mind accepts that unlimited knowledge.

Debbie what do you mean when you said that “That is why He is absolute truth. Not that He is truthful, but He is absolute truth.” I am not following you? I know I am reading more into it, but isn’t God truthful? Help me out. Thanks, Mimi
Comment by Debbie
Hi Mimi,
What I was trying to say would have been better phrased, “not only does God speak the truth, but He IS truth. He is the standard for all truth and His Word is that standard.” Sorry about the miscommunication…

I thought that you meant something like that but I wanted to ask and not assume. Thanks Debbie!

response to anon:
Thank you for your comment… I’d like to rephrase it if I might:
Heisenberg uncertainty principle: Revised to Include God
“God knows the speed and position of a sub-atomic particle at the same time only one or the other.” (Proof God has unlimited knowledge and an infinite mind)
That is why it is so important to rely on Him for Absolute Truths. He is the only one that can provide them.

John 3:16.

The inspiration of the Bible by the Holy Spirit and the inerrancy of Scripture as a result of this.
The virgin birth of Christ.
The belief that Christ’s death was the atonement for sin.
The bodily resurrection of Christ.
The phycical return of Jesus to the earth.
Comment by Grace
that Jesus is the eternal Son of God, Immanuel God with us, and that our Creator the Almighty and invisible God wants us to believe in and follow His Son. He is the resurrection and the life, was broken on a cross for our sins, is risen, and is the only Way to the Father.
